Dave was on the road in Devon at the time of this event but was able to join the bill on ROCKOFFFIBRO 2 in Hartlepool September the 22nd and played an acoustic solo set before being joined onstage by Martin Aylward Karl and The Wolfman from The Expelairs for 2 electric songs.
The 2018 Devon tour was superb and was accompanied by some of the finest weather the uk has seen in a good long while.
Most notable on the tour was an appearance at LittleBridgstock in Kentisbury 2018. This is a fundraising event for the Calvert Trust which enables people with physical, learning, behavioural and sensory disabilities to experience exciting, challenging and enjoyable outdoor activities.
Dave hosted the acoustic stage at the festival and closed the evening with a full acoustic set. Appearing were Ella Crossland Shrug Kiera Osment Karl Kiff Rough Justice Alex Terry and the one and only Noel Grummit.
Shrug and Noel joined Dave onstage later in Devon for a show at The Pier Ilfracombe which proved to be a wild and memorable nights music.
Following the Devon tour Dave headed for Scotland for a month long tour of the Highlands including an appearance at the Beladrum Tartan heart festival for the 10th anniversary of the Medicine Music Potting Shed Stage.
The tenth outing featured a very welcome return from some of the stand out acts from previous years along with some exciting brand new artists. Heading up the cast were the wonderfull Cousti early days Potting Shed favourites who reformed especially for the occasion after the passing of Bass player and sadly missed friend Bill Blakey. They headed up a spectacular line up, with the weekend dedicated to Billy and other friends lost over the last decade. From the USA co-headliners were I See Hawks in LA, Rachel Laven, Libby Koch, Patterson Barrett along with ex Rodeo Champ Lion Taming Buddhist Monk Songster Bill Bloomer and Cajun luminary Brian Langlinais.
Fash Stewart and Darren Poyzer compered beyond compare and hosted the stage, and Musicians in Residence were Matt Morrow Guitars Pigman Harmonica with Charlie the Hat Drums, Calum MacLeod Bass.
Thurso then boy wonder, now resident to The South Of France Isaac Sutherland came back to supply electrifying string accompaniments.
During the weekend Dave hosted a two day festival fringe event at Brockies Lodge adjacent to the Beladrum festival grounds. Huge thanks to Hosts Marie Jim and the Brockies team for the superb help staging the event. Its hoped that this fringe event will become a regular fixture on the Belladrum weekend festival calendar.
Two notable shows in the Highlands were The Braeval in Nairn and The Newmacher in Aberdenwn. Special thanks go to Gordon and Amy at the Braeval for such a superb music venue and very warm welcome. Dave had a great show there and a re visit looks likely on next years Easter 2019 Scottish tour. Special mention goes to Greig Chapman at the Newmacher for bringing Dave to Aberdenwn. It was a fine evenings music which included an appearance by Uniform with Greig himself on guitar and Alex Morrison on vocals.
Well thats the Summer 2018 highlights. Dave sets out for the Autumn Winter 2018 touring leg this month. Dates are listed on the Dave Sharp.org live page and on Daves facebook page linked from this site.

A very big thank you to all who made it to Uttoxeter Racecourse for the show with Dave and Jenny Bellestar. It was an amazing day and a superb show made even greater by the enthusiastic response they received. Both Dave and Jenny send their thanks to all for the joy and happiness shared back and forth from the stage during a very memorable and magic evening.
Dave makes a trip to Sheffield to the wonderful Gardeners Rest This Friday 15th June. His last visit there was October 2017 during The Alarm acoustic tour with Mike and Jules. The venue is a rare gem of a place with an emphasis on fine music and good feelings. There was a wonderfully memorable atmosphere on the night of Daves show there and support for the venue has been growing from strength to strength with their excellent and eclectic music program.
We need to make a note of Thursdays show at Telfords Warehouse. Dave has made a number of appearances at Telfords over the past 36 months with every appearance being amazingly well received thanks to the care and attention of the all the staff there who make everyone feel right at home in the amazing surroundings.
Well thats the roundup for this June 15th weekend. See you all at the shows.
Travel Easy and Keep the Faith.
Well folks, Summertime 2018 is here at last and the seasons touring is off to a fine start.
Need to begin by passing out a huge thanks, peace, love and understanding to everyone who came out to see the shows with Mike and Jules in Glasgow and Holmfirth. Two supersonic shows indeed!! Dave is very much looking forward to the London show at the o2 Forum, which should be a classic with Then Jericho on the bill along with Mike and Jules.
We have some great news from the 2018 Rock Off Fibro event. Along with some treasured items Dave had donated for the Fibro auction, a substantial amount of money was raised once again for Fibro research. Huge appreciation is surely due to David Williams and Miss Jackie who did an outstanding job of producing another wonderful event.
We have news of an upcoming special Rock Off Fibro double cd record release which will feature Daves Mean Mean Hand track from the Downtown America album. Featured artists on the disc will also include Spear of Destiny, Spizzenergi, Sex Gang Children, The Main Grains, The Membranes, 1919, Evil Blizzard, Ferocious Dog and many more. Also included will be exclusive previews, classics, rare unreleased mixes and some tracks recorded specifically just for the CD.
Well, Summer 2018 should prove to be a very interesting touring season indeed, with some outstanding events upcoming. Early June Dave will be appearing at the Great British Acoustic Festival with the amazing Miss Jenny Bellestar performing a programme of favourite all time tracks under the current working banner of Vinyl-Days.
It should be a wonderful show being the first time Miss Jenny and Dave have performed on the same stage since the early days of The Alarm on tour with The Belle Stars in 1983, when both bands formed a great relationship and a superb friendship. Later on the same day at the Acoustic Festival Dave will be performing a solo show in the Blues Tent. This should definitely a classic day not to be missed!!
Later in the summer, August time, Dave will be performing at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival on Thursday 2nd of August to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Potting Shed live stage. Organiser, impresario, raconteur and fellow Hard Traveller Mr Rob Ellen has put together a truly amazing list of wonderful artists who have performed on The Potting Shed stage over the years. The Cowans, Cousti, Isaac Sutherland are sure to be highlights along with I See Hawks in LA Rachel Laven Libby Koch Patterson Barrett Fash & Darren Poyzer. This is definitely set to be a sure-fire doozzie!!! Later in the weekend, Saturday the 4th of August, Dave will be performing at an outdoor all day Belladrum fringe event to be held at Brockies Lodge. Load up your coolers folks, and catch the first Northbound train to the Highlands for this one!!
On all 2018 summer dates Daves Live on the Tyne live acoustic recording from Newcastle will be available. For those who werent able to connect with Daves Live at the Vic release, you will be able to find this recording as a rerelease on special mail order, details to be announced shortly. On other recording fronts, Dave has been busy working on a studio acoustic album which we're told by Dave will bring all things up to date and should be released towards Autumn 2018.
Well Summer 2018 is set to be a stellar run and as ever we thank you for supporting the music. Travel easy, travel safe and we look forwards to seeing you all out on the road.
Keep the faith and see you soon !!!
After a superb weekend in Llandudno at The Gathering 2018 there are new dates to announce looking ahead to a Spring Summer run of shows and news of a new Acoustic Studio album.
It was an excellent weekend in Wales and a huge thanks to everyone for making me feel so very welcome throughout my 2 day visit to North Wales.
It was excellent to share the stage on the Friday night with Mike..the first time we've played together in a long long time. We played a short 15 minute acoustic duet set comprising of Friend of Mine sung in memory of our mutual good friend, sadly passed away Mr Stuart Adamson who continues to influence us both greatly ever since the early days of the Alarm back in 1983/84. It was great to follow up with a version of Gasoline Alley by The Faces who were a very, very important band to Mike and meself in the early days when we first met in North Wales whilst The Alarm was being formed. We followed up with a version of One Step Closer to Home sung for the first time as a duet. A very special moment for us both indeed. We both felt the wave of love from everyone and very much enjoyed the moment playing together for the first time in much too much of a long long road.
On the Saturday it was great to be able to play a full Dave Sharp solo acoustic set and I would like to thank all who were there for the spirit energy and joy which you shared with me and which I felt so well from the stage..amazing!!
Later in the evening I joined Mike, Jules and the band for a version of the Woody Guthrie anthem Bound For Glory which was an amazing way to round off a very memorable weekend indeed.
Once again I would like to say a huge thank you from my heart to everyone who attended and a very appreciative thank you for supporting the new Live On The Tyne release.
I guess this is as good a time as any to announce that I will be joining Mike for the Bank Holiday Weekend dates around the UK in May and I wouldn't be surprised if we both take the opportunity to do some more duet things together as we truly enjoyed The Gathering moment so much.
There are new Dave Sharp solo acoustic dates being added as we speak throughout Spring and Summer so please stay tuned to receive regular updates. I'm looking forwards very much to a Summer long run of shows throughout England, Scotland and Wales on another marathon Dave Sharp Acoustic tour during which I'm hoping to have news of a new acoustic studio album which will be the first studio recording in a very long while.
Thank you everyone for continuing to support the music and for keeping the faith it's always great to see you on the road and great to see you at the shows.
Bless you one and all and keep the faith.
Dave

Well Hi Everyone As 2017 races towards year end for the finish line I thought it might be good to take a brief look back at what has been a stellar year and take a brief moment to reflect.
It has been a busy twelve months indeed not only touring the length and breadth of the nation solo but also having had an opportunity to join up with my good friend and old bandmate Mike Peters for a run of dates in October. With also 2 records released through Little London Records along the way it has been been a none stop Year of wonderful happenings.
I guess one of the stand-out events this year was taking part in the Rock Off Fibro festival in Chester last April. It was a memorable day indeed with two shows played on the same day. Funds were raised in good order and superb music was made throughout the entire event by everyone who was able to take part. Blessings to one and all.
With repeated touring legs to Scotland and North Devon it was a pleasure to have had an opportunity to play in the Birmingham area once again. I had a chance to hook up with my very good friend and Hard Traveling Bandmate The Right Reverend Charles Macintosh. It was excellent to share some time again and play together at The St Marys fundraiser in Cannock.
It has certainly been an interesting year on the record front with the release of Live at The Vic through Little London Records in May 2017.
I am very grateful indeed for all the very positive reaction I have received from all who have had a chance to listen, thank you indeed to each and everyone for all your encouraging words and thoughts. With also the limited edition special release of Hard Traveling in time for the October shows with Mike Peters making its presence felt with everyone. I am very grateful to all of you who have taken time to voice your thoughts and feelings.
It was a superfine thing indeed to see so many old faces on the October dates with Mike and Jules. I very much enjoyed getting acquainted with all of you who may not have seen a Dave solo acoustic show for a while, it was a pleasure to play for you all and thank you everyone for the wonderful energy, spirit and feelings you shared with me on all the shows.
Well I am currently writing from the studio where recording some accoustic material for the new year has been feeling good and sounding fine. I am very much looking ahead towards 2018 and to heading out on the road again towards new adventures and voyages.
In the meantime take care of yourselves and each other, keep the faith and see you all soon.
Bless you all. Dave.
