Dave Sharp has given an update on his 2026 live shows and news of his long awaited new studio album.

He tells us,

It feels like the album is heading towards a mix. Its been a long road and we should be there around mid June.

Im very excited about how this one is sounding. Its very immediate with a solid direction down there in the tracks. Its feeling like the right thing for 2026.

There is further news of live plans for the Summer.

At the Club Viva run up to the Rebellion festival 2026 Dave will be taking the stage with a new 8 piece band. He will be appearing on the bill alongside Tom Robinson & Adam Phillips, The Wild Hearts and Kirk Brandon. Doors are11.45 on the day.

He also tells us The Alarm August shows at The Garage, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th, are coming together in fine spirit and rehearsal dates have been penned in.

Dave says, There is a good sense of collective cooperation between us. Its great to have the feeling back again and Im sure folks will hear that coming through the music when we get out there together.

For the first time in over two decades, three of the original members of The Alarm, Eddie Macdonald, Dave Sharp and Nigel Twist, reunite on stage for a once-in-a-generation live event in London on August Bank Holiday Weekend!

This historic two-day/night event marks the first time the trio of Eddie Macdonald, Dave Sharp and Nigel Twist have performed together since their unforgettable 2003 appearance on VH1, when they shared the stage with the late Mike Peters for the final time.

The weekend has been designed as a fully immersive fan experience, featuring meet-and-greet opportunities, band Interviews, signing sessions, special appearances and unique up-close moments celebrating the bands history and the dedicated community around it. Packed wall to wall with Sounds of The Alarm!

Dave Sharp emerges from an extended studio hiatus to take part in the Rebellion Festival 30th Anniversary Celebrations in Blackpool, August 2026.

Dave will be appearing Tuesday 4th August with the latest incarnation of his band The Hard Travellers and will be sharing the bill with Kirk Brandon, Tom Robinson and The Wild Hearts.

He will be performing songs from his forthcoming studio album, along with material from his albums Hard Travellin and Downtown America. His new studio album, as yet untitled, is rumoured to be available on limited release during the month of August.

I would like to send out a huge and grateful thanks to everyone who wrote in with very kind birthday wishes last week. It was great to receive and read all your wonderful words and wishes. Thank you all indeed.

This coming Friday I will be appearing on Camglen Radio with Brian Byrne on his show at 6.00pm till 8.00pm (GMT). I am looking forwards to bringing some latest news on recording activities and news of some upcoming live events.
