January 2014 - Dave Sharp to tour with Kirk Brandon

Dave will be joining Kirk Brandon's Akoustik tour performing a 45-minute solo acoustic set. Dave has previously performed on the bill with Kirk with the Hard Travelers. Tickets for the shows are being snapped up with two extra dates having to be added in Nottingham and Stockton-n-Tees.

The bill of Kirk Brandon and Dave Sharp seems to be generating a good deal of excitement, and, as a long time fan of Kirk Brandon's music, Dave is thrilled to have been invited to take part on the tour which kicks off in Brighton on February 20th.

If you're planning to attend, be sure to book in advance as tickets are selling very well for this tour with some shows already sold out.

Stay tuned for more news! See you on the road.

October 2012 - THE NEVER-ENDING TOUR

After a wonderful Summer of touring, taking in the Highlands of Scotland and the valleys of South Wales, Dave's readying up for an Autumn series of dates on what is most definitely the "Neverending Tour."

We spoke to Dave recently:

"It's been an amazing season all 'round. There are many, many new 'eclectic' music nights springing up at venues all around the country which are beginning to promote a fresh approach to live music with talent of every description. It's very exciting to be out touring at a time like this with all of these new nights springing up--it really does at last feel like the front line of something new, fresh and exciting.

"In the face of difficult times, it's amazing to find venues and promoters taking risks out there, being creative and reaching out to people with quality entertainment."

davesharp.org recommends keeping an eye out at your local venues for these new nights. You're guaranteed to find not only great music (acoustic and electric) but also stand-up comedy, poetry, spoken word, and, above all, joy, happiness and love.

New dates are being added all the way through the holiday season and into the new year. Stay tuned and keep travelin'.

January 2012 - Happy 2012!

Happy New Year from all of us here at DaveSharp.org with very best wishes for a great year ahead in 2012.

We’d like to say a huge thanks to everyone who came out to support Dave’s shows throughout the past year up and down the UK….it was a very busy schedule with album recording between dates.

We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome all you new supporters who’ve been checking in with us here at the site… Dave is certainly looking forward to seeing you all out on the road in 2012.

The new year is shaping up to be very busy indeed with a relentless run of live dates kicking off this January which will take in the South East, South Wales, the North West and once again an extensive run of shows in Scotland.

For those of you planning to be in or around the Manchester area at the end of January we’d like to remind you of a special show at The Angel in Manchester city centre on Thurs 26th January. This show will be promoted by Manchester’s newest music/art collective “City-Folk.” Dave will perform a full solo acoustic set and will be joined on the bill by some of Manchester’s finest poets and musicians. There will be food laid on and there’s no cover….

“City-Folk” is a collective which sets out to promote music/art which prefers to operate outside the umbrella of the Corporate mainstream and is planning events at multiple venues around Manchester…Definitely something to watch for in 2012…..

Dave’s new album is finaly nearing completion and a tentative release schedule is likely to be announced sometime around March….

Once again we’d like to thank both new supporters and old for continuing to follow Dave’s journey and we hope to see you all out on the road in 2012…

Travel easy and be safe.
Happy New Year
