Since 2002's The Summer Of Love tour, Dave Sharp has welcomed fans making their own recordings of his solo shows for their own enjoyement.

The Soul Company fully support this policy & fans are encouraged to bring their own recording equipment (audio or visual) to any gigs you plan to attend.

We respectfully request that flash photography be restricted to the first quarter hour of each event.

Please note that if Soul Co or Dave are opening for another artist, recording will not normally be permitted. Also, artists who are opening for <%=domainname%> may also not wish their performances to be recorded.

For best results, the following equipment is considered compatible:

Stereo pairs of condenser mikes (short-throw or long-throw) such as Sony, AKG, Neuman, etc.

Analog quarter-inch or digital tape, or portable CD recorders, such as TASCAM, UHER, GRUNDIG, ALESIS, etc.

You may wish to include portable compression and EQ devices, such as BEHRINGER, AUDIOLOGIC, DBX, KLARK TECHNIC (all stereo, of course).

Wherever possible event doors will be open early to accommodate your set-up time and, where necessary, an area inside the event venue will be set aside for you and your equipment.

We would appreciate if a copy of any good quality recordings is sent to via the site for our own archives.
