Mo Witham joined his first professional band at the age of 18 - The Orioles played at the Cricketers Pub in Southend between 1963\65 and toured with The Hollies, Tremeloes and Dave D, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Titch.

In 1965 he joined The Fingers and stayed for 4 years until retiring in 1969 to
get married.

He started playing again in 1974 at the insistance of Micky Jupp (singer\songwriter formally of The Orioles )and formed a band called Legend. They would go on to record 4 Albums for Phillips Vertigo. They appeared on the pilot show of The Old Grey Whistle Test (then titled ''Disco 2'') with Slade opening.

Mo played for 2 years at the 'Talk of the South' in Southend as the resident
band (with Gilson Lavis from Squeeze on drums). Mo and the band's singer Kelly were later married.

As a session player, Mo has worked on many recordings including the Cliff Richard album 'Every Face Tells a Story', two albums for Chris Farlow and many others.

For a number of years Mo worked with Mike Vernon who produced Fleetwood Mac's 'Albertros', Level 42, Focus and many blues albums with black American artists.

Mo joined the Suzi Quatro Band in 1983 and toured the world with them. He worked with Suzi's producer Micky Most until 1989 until 'escaping' to the peace of the Lake District.

Mo and Kelly spent much of the 90's touring as a duo in the Middle East, Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Dubai and Abu Dahbi, primarily playling to British and American
ex-pat's in 5 star Hotels.

Back in the North West in the new Millenium, Mo met Dave Sharp via a friend as Dave was looking for musicians to form The Soul Company. Mo says 'I liked his material, liked his attitude, so here I am'.

Unfortunately, after working on Soul Co's first album The Power Of Soul in early 2004, a change in Mo's personnel circumstances meant he was forced to withdraw from Soul Co's live performances. Mo remains an active member of the band for recording and writing purposes.
