The performance will take place at Scala, Kings Cross, London (see here for details) from 7pm on the evening of Tuesday 28th October.

Entry will be free & open to the public on Tuesday evening. DaveSharp.org still has a limited number of VIP places for Dave Sharp & Alarm fans on a first come first served basis.

info@davesharp.org, including e-mail address to which confirmation should be sent.

You will be contacted by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm your VIP place.

Please note: This event is being organised by a TV company & while www.davesharp.org is acting as an agent to allow Alarm fans to attend, neither Dave nor any other member of The Alarm has control over this event. The primary purpose of the event is a television recording & it will therefore not take the format of a traditional gig. The nature and duration of the performance & the number of songs performed is out of the band's control.
Dave Sharp, Shaun Ryder & Sir Bob Geldof 22 September 2003
After a couple of months away from live gigs while working on the Soul Co project, Dave Sharp unexpectedly ended up playing two shows in two days.

Saturday night (20th September) he was in Preston at the re-opening of The Mill Club. One of the finest venues in the country, The Mill played host to a stream of top bands in the late 80s & early 90s. In the live music drought of the late 90s, the venue went through a couple of ill fated incarnations, but now the team behind Leed's The Cockpit have given the club a new lease of life under it's original name.

Dave was asked to perform on the opening night of the new club after being one of the last to play it's predecessor The Marquee. Providing the experience alongside a couple of young local bands, Dave's 40 minute set was relatively short by his standards, but packed with quality as usual. Old classics like Hard Travellin' lined up alongside more recent standards such as Lookin' This World Over and even found time for a rare outing for Criss Cross Affair Of The Heart. Dedicated Sharp Troopers from up and down the county (and even one American fan) joined occasional # fans (one couple had discovered Sharp playing in a local bar while holidaying in the United States), young fans of the other bands and the clubbers who had arrived early for the later club night featuring guest DJ Shaun Ryder.

While The Mill show was a long standing commitment, the previous evening Dave found himself on stage at The Sands Centre in Carlisle when he'd woken up expecting to be at home in Salford. When Sir Bob Geldof was let down by his opening act, Dave came to the rescue at short notice. Taking a call from Bob's promoter at 2pm, by 3pm Dave was on route to Carlisle, arriving just in time for sound check & then straight on stage for his opening performance.

Apologies to any fans in Cumbria, but the arrangements were made at such short notice there just wasn't time to make an announcement.
Dave At The Mill 10 September 2003
Dave takes a break from band rehersals to team up with Lancashire band Treehouse 3, on a double bill with DJ Shaun Ryder (Happy Mondays & Black Grape) at the controls.

The gig is being held to support the re-opening of Preston's premiere rock club ''The Mill'' on Saturday 20th of September.

Formerly The Marquee, ''The Mill'' is holding a weekend of activities to celebrate reopening.

''I played The Marquee earlier in the year, and was disappointed to see it shut down'', says Sharp. ''It is one of the best venues in the country so I was excited to see it re-open so soon. Clubs like this are the breeding ground for new talent, I'm glad to be lending a hand.''

The live music including Dave's acoustic set will be on until 10.00pm, followed by Shaun Ryder's DJ Set, so get there early to see Dave.

Tickets are only £3 on the door so please get down there to show your support.

Full details are on the Tourdates Page.
Dave Steps In Again 25 June 2003
Following a successful couple of gigs in the midlands earlier in the year, Dave has just been asked to stand in for JJ Burnell in the Three Men and Black line up once again.

Dave will join Jake Burns (Stiff Little Fingers) and Pauline Black (The Selector) on the seafront in Southsea on Sunday 29th June 2003.

The venue is an unusual one - the Bandstand in the town's West Battery Gardens. The show forms part of Portsmouth's Live At The Bandstand season of summer concerts, a season of live eclectic music held on Sunday afternoons during the summer months.

The best bit is that Live at the Bandstand is completely FREE.

They will be on stage at 2pm.

Three Men And Black With Temporary Alarm Addition 08 February 2003
OK, folks. It's time to put on your travellin' clothes and make a weekend trip to Derby and/or Wolverhampton. You wanted Dave Sharp back in the U.K., he's here!!!--and in fine form after his opening for 3 Men & Black in Liverpool on Wednesday. He blew the audience, the 3M&B, and their tour manager away with his opening. He was invited back onstage for harmonica backup/solo for one of Pauline's songs. Most of the audience didn't know who he was when he stepped onstage, but they certainly know now! They couldn't get enough of his music or his CDs.

Friday (14th Feb) Dave will be appearing as one of the 3 Men in Derby and again Saturday (15th) at Wolverhampton (as JJ Burnell will be unable to make those two gigs). Jake, JJ, Pauline and Nick were all extremely impressed by Dave's performance last night, and Jake, Pauline and Nick are looking forward to Dave's joining them onstage to represent The Alarm. So let's get out there and show them what our supporters are made of!
Come on, guys! Let's get out there and show all what The Alarm means to you.

Dave makes a personal promise that you will receive ''more tone for your dollar'' at these gigs. All who can make it to one or both of these gigs, please call NOW to book your tickets!
