Chris Farlowe formed his own skiffle band whilst still a teenager. By the late fifties Chris had gravitated more towards Rock and Roll and left off guitar to concentrate on singing. The group evolved into Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds, whose songs included 'Handbags and Gladrags' recently covered by The Stereophonics & used as the theme to The Office. By 1970 Chris was with progressive rockers, Coloseum before moving on to Atomic Rooster. The 80s were spent in semi-retirement, but in the 90s and 00s, Chris has recorded and gigged relentlessly with the newly reformed Coloseum, the Manfreds and solo dates. Soul Co's Paul Burgess and Keith Ashcroft have both recorded and toured with Chris.
